fried balogna

Steve Russell sheds light on the fried side of bologna

"All the pizzeria's/sub shops here have this fried balogna and onions sub. I dont know if its a local thing but I never heard of it til I came to Buffalo. It sounds gross but one day I tried it and it was a huge greasy mess, which always means delicious. This is my first attempt at making fried balogna and onions sandwich. I added american chee and mayo. Mine was ok...its better from the pizza shops."
