Sam and Hwiss

Even my dog was licking her chops for this one. thin layer of mayo on both sides, cracked pepper, swiss on both sides, and honey ham on soft oatmeal bread gilled on the foreman

Its always sandwich time

Ham, fresh mutz, arugula, and olive oil. Nice and grilled

Fiesta juevos

In true steve russel fashion I made this egg bruito with what I had left in my fridge. It turns out I had farm eggs, avocado, cherry peppers, lettuce, a few wraps and franks red hot next thing I knew I was sweating my face off. it was great

Bratwurst Burger

Another jem from the Heitczman duo. Kevin sent me this inovative bratwurst burger

"Here we have a sandwich that came about after acquiring some bratwurst
burgers off of fresh direct. On this we have onions, pickles, red
kraut, home fries, and some mustard on two slices of rye. It was a bit
messy but it hit the spot."

Drunk snack #9

Kevin sent me this hillarious drunk snack check it out

"After going home for a weekend, I ended up doing a lot of drinking and
came back to find out there was nothing in my fridge. Panic set in
when there was no meals, no bread, and it was prob like 3am so nothing
was open. However the freezer had a little gem waiting for me. The
base of the sandwich was a frozen lean cuisine chicken ranch pita,
with left over couscous, some deli roast beef, and some homemade
pickles. From what I remember it was good but at that point, anything
is."

Chicken Parm Pizza Sandwich

Ive had this one on ice for a while. Oooooh man! I was home for the holidays and my sister made this SLAMMMMIN! chicken parm and once again we had some left over pizza..... No brainer the chicken parm was amazing and made an even more delicious pizza sandwich

Turkey Burger Murder

Wow I made this 2 days in a row it was so good. it consists of 2 ground turkey patties mashed together into one patty seasoned with adobo and pepper fried in a pan with a thin layer of extra virgin olive oil, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, cherry peppers, a thin layer of mayo, a few hits of franks red hot, and this cheese that is out of this world ATTENTION its called hoffmans pepper cheese it comes pre-sliced in a bag in the cheese section it doesn't say what kind of cheese it is but if I didn't know any better I would say it was pepper gouda WOW think about that anyway one slice dose the trick cause it packs a punch and it make any sandwich amazing!

I also smashed the shit out of my finger on Saturday and spent about 5 hours in the ER at the most horrendous hospital ive ever seen in my life woohdull medical center #1 in the country for gunshot wounds 98376037635073433534th place for everything else. that explains the stupid finger splint I have on haha

Drunk Snack #8

I was at a loft part in bushwick last weekend it was kinda rad I haven't been to one of those since like 05 that used to be our shit in the pre vente uno days. anyway the party was dope (Props to JANI) I got real twisted and needed and sandwich to bring me back so I went to the boughey ass deli on the corner and spent 7 something on this sandwich but when I opened it i was not disapointed! I still kinka hate on boughey delis but its either 7 something for a serious manwich or 350 for some habieb hero with 3 slices or turkey and they put what ever they want on it regardless of what you asked for so it is what it is.back to teh sandwich thIs thing had ham turkey munster let tom roasted reds and avocado and it was packed to the gills whooooo I was hyped

Drunk Snack #7

Chili pizza..... I don't know weather to apologize or say your welcome I guess it depends on what side of the chili or pizza spectrum you fall on. its a weird creation def a pizza violation but it dose tastes good. It all started with a pool table at chads house and mad beers. On the way home I busted out in song for no reason " oooo yeeaa chillli pizzaa when I get hooomeee" and my boy nick goes "They make chili pizza!?!?" and I replied " Nope but I got left over pizza in my fridge and my mom maid chili tonight" a couple shreds of pepper jack cheese and a toaster oven later chili pizza was born

LIVE from the Food Network's Wine and Food Festival South Beach, Florida

Sandwich Mansion's full coverage of the Food Network's Wine and Food Festival is brought to you by the Heitczman brothers they headed down south to attack the flavors and sniff out all and any sandwiches they could find along the path. wwwooooooooo!

"So my brother and I are back from south beach and already missing the
hot weather and slammin' food. Now we ended up going to the Bubble Q
instead of the Burger Bash. The Bubble Q consisted of dozens of top
chefs preparing their favorite forms of bbq along with all you can
drink Champagne. Needless to say we were chowing down and throwing
back some bubbly. The only problem with the BBQ was most of it wasn't
sandwich form but I feel this is more of a on-the-scene report and all
the food was really good so enjoy. In the pictures we have some
exterior shots, hot champagne lady, and of course some bangin food. in
the pictures we have some of the most tender ribs I have ever eaten,
some mini Salmon burgers, bbq pork with beans in a peach sauce
(awesome), A whole pig, a nice rib eye, and by far the best thing
there. A fried chicken skin sandwich. Now these things were a surprise
hit to everyone. Chicken skin covered in a dill pickle sauce, they
tasted so good it was ridiculous. Along side, they had a matzah ball
wrapped in bacon which seems a bit sacrilegious but just as delicious.
Now the portions may seem a bit small but you could have gone back as
many times as you wanted and stuff got better more times around. Also,
the only right way to cook bbq is with a bud heavy at hand. After
this, we ended the night with some pitchers at a local watering hole
and passed out on the beach the next day. I wish I had taken more
photos of food but eating was the main concern. Once the blog blows
up, we'll get some people to pay us to go out to these more often.

Side note - We also hit up a few local joints including a awesome
little cuban place and Danny Devitos italian restaurant. Included
pictures are a footlong Cuban Sandwich, a Meatball the size of a
softball, and some amazing appetizers. Once again, not all sandwiches
but all worthy of this blog.

Till the next time

- The Brother's Heitczman"

B&B Special

My pops sent this sandwich over its homemade variation of one of his favorite sandwiches from a local deli by him

"This rap is based on a sandwich called the B&B special that is served at one of my favorite restaurant the Sunset Inn in Clinton New Jersey. You start with a plain wrap. Slice up some thin deli roast beef. Cook it on the grill. Melt a little cheddar cheese on top of it while it's cooking. Add some bacon and a little horseradish sauce. I don't know what's in the horseradish sauce but it sure as hell is good!

Peace"

G4EVER!

Sorry for my absence, I was on sabbatical, long story short, I am dieting, and this was my cheat meal for the week. Don't get it twisted though, SeriousMeat is still as serious as ever.

Anyway, here it goes.

Took a trip to my fav sandwich spot in the city, aw yeah you know what it is, Lenny's Sandwiches, awww yeah again and again!

I flew solo this time, couldn't afford any amateur distractions like I came across with the BTFU. I did some research before I went (and by research I studied the .pdf menu I downloaded, so I could narrow down my choices by the time I got there). Anyway, I walk into Lenny's and I was ready, or so I thought I was. Apparently I missed the G4 when I was analyzing the menu that would bring a tear to even the manliest of sandwich lovers eye. That being said, I grabbed a napkin, wiped away the tears of joy, and asked the fine gentleman behind the counter if he would be so kinda to construct another Lenny's Masterpiece.
I give you the Lenny's G4:

Grilled smoked ham and smoked turkey breast with melted finlandia swiss cheese, romaine lettuce, coleslaw and russian dressing. NOTICE THE MARBLE RYE!

Remember 2 things: Always Do Work, and Keep Your Sandwich Game Tight.

SeriousMeat signing off.

Modified Timmy

This is a little tweak on a Cupsaw Market classic called "the timmy" named after Tim "T-mart" Martindale its chicken fingers BBQ sauce bacon and cheddar on a hero slammin'. but I asked Russell to make it with grilled chicken on a roll with mad bacon lettuce and tomato and this is the glorious tower he presented

Chicken salad slayer

It doesn't look like much but if you put chicken salad in a bowl cover the top with black pepper sprinkle some garlic powder on there and splash in red wine vinegar and mix it up the flavor scale jumps like 2 levels its unreal. I had to take this one to school to enjoy it

Superbowl Innovations

I was at a superbowl party and they had the SLAMMMMMIN plethora of gameday snacks everything from chili dip to a mountain of white castle burgers and a hot wing contest or "wing-off". So im enjoying the shit out of this 7 layer nacho dip when I realize that there is a slice of pizza left it was a no brainer i slopped a dig ol dab of that dip on that pizza and looked like the bigest savage there but it was mad good!!!

Stay Hungary

Drunk sandwich???

Im not sure if Steve Elliot was twisted when he sent me this or not but either way its mad funny and hes the man. He named it after one of our friends jim Shustowicz but the story he sent is mad incoherent haha it boils down to pasta, hot sause, blue cheese and parm on a wheat wrap

KATZ's

Kevin and his homie went to Katz's and sent me these flicks now thats a manwich Rumor has it Kevin and his brother are going to florida for a sandwich convention or something hopefully I will be covering it day to day with some photos from them

"So my friend Nick and I last night decided to hit up the world famous Carnegie Deli. I settled with the Brisketball and he got the #14. My sandwich was basically two towers of Brisket and Turkey and my friends was an open faced
corn beef rueben. We also killed two bowls of pickles and they didnt seem to want to give us a 3rd. Both sandwiches were slammin"

More BLT's

Chris Dedeyne sent in another oversized blt

"Big Blt with honey mustard on wheat
-chris dedeyn"

Smackeroni and Cheese

I made about 3 gallons off home made mac and cheese at my moms house over the holidays for no reason so I had to get creative the mack and cheese was pepper jack, muster, mutz, sharp cheddar, and a pound or browned ground chicken with maaad ground pepper whooooo! I can eat that all day we also had a holiday ham the size of a beach ball so I was eating these sandwiches for about a week and never got sick of them they are amazing. a little mustard on the ham side mad mac and cheese grilled in the forman with ketchup if you please

This town aint big enough for the two of us

Kevins brother sent in this dope pulled pork sandwich but we might have to have a taste off between him ans serious meat. Im not sayin.... but i'm sayin.

"Here's another sandwich my friend, this one has a bit of a bone to pick with Mr. Joe Scalo:

A few weeks ago I made my first homemade pulled pork specifically for tailgating at the Jets game. Roasted for over 8 hrs, topped with a Memphis style BBQ and finished with freshly made coleslaw all on a freshly baked roll. The stage was set for great addition to blog, that was untill the lighting at the game was terrible and I could not get a good pick of the tasty treat. So I dont send it in and two days latter on the blog I see Joe's Pull My Pork, and lets just say I was not happy....So I made this one to add a lil competition. Now we have pulled prok, fresh bbq sauce, homefried potatoes with onions and topped with baby spinach on a fresh roll."

The not dog

I like this one a lot of times bread selection is not an option and you have to work with what you got. Steve Russell came thru with this nice adaptation

"I call this the Not Dog. Any kind of sandwich on a hot dog bun."

Drunk Snack #6

Never mix Magnum and Silver Thunder thats almost as bad as Night Flight and Big Bear or mabe even Huricane and Steel oooo that gives me the heeby jeebys. Need less to say one of our top contributers steve russell got his hands on some silver thunder and magnum guzzeld them both and made this hilarious sandwich. Something tells me there may or may not have been some marijuana involved I don't know it might be the chocolate covered flutie flakes hahaha

"Bagel, cream cheese, jelly, Flutie Flakes, chocolate syrup."

Cold Killer

The lovely erika sent in some winter warm up sandwiches

"matt brown - hope ur having fun on ur travels...u couldn't have picked
a btter time to get away. it's brick in ny!!
that being said: you should get back and update ur blog now ;)
